Lenny Kravitz Surprises Cute 5-Year-Old Drummer on 'Ellen'

September 25, 2019

It’s hard to decide whether 5-year-old Justin Wilson II is better at drumming or just at life in general.

The kindergartner from Fullerton, CA has some serious chops behind a kit to go along with an infectious smile and personality. The combination of the two led to a seriously entertaining segment on “Ellen.”

After performing a drum cover of “Fly Away” by Lenny Kravitz earlier this year, Justin returned to the show to do another song by his rock idol – “Are You Gonna Go My Way.” Justin told jokes with Ellen on the interview set while his proud parents looked on, before heading over for the performance.

Justin, AKA Baby Boy Drummer, was almost too busy running through his tight fills to notice that Kravitz appeared on-stage mid-song to show his admiration.

“Lenny!” Justin exclaimed as the rocker took off his headphones and picked him up. “It’s so good to see you!” the 5-year-old continued.

Kravitz told him he was amazing and that he was a big fan. About the only thing that could distract Justin from his hero was all the Spider-Man swag the show proceeded to gift him with.
