Black Sabbath Offer 'Black Lives Matter' Tees In Band's Iconic Logo Supporting Movement
All proceeds will be donated to BLM
When Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello posted a photo of himself beside his 96-year-old activist mother while sporting a Black Sabbath-themed "Black Lives Matter" t-shirt, people wanted to know where they could pick one up.
Even Sabbath's bassist Geezer Butler chimed in, saying "nice shirt & nice sentiment & awesome mum."
Now, the band is officially putting the t-shirt up for sale.
The black tees with the band's iconic font in purple reads "Black Lives Matter" and can be pre-ordered right here for just $25. 100% of the proceeds are being donated to Black Lives Matter with shipments expected to begin in mid-July.
Morello has been at the forefront of the Black Lives Matter movement as it has ramped up over the last few weeks and has championed social justice, anti-racism, and the need for systemic change throughout his entire career.
In a recent social media post, the guitarist reminded his followers that although you don't need a political science degree from Harvard University in order to speak out against systemic violence - it definitely helps.
